Jarred Shaw agreed terms with Huracanes del Atlantico

Huracanes del Atlantico (LNB) inked 30-year old American 208cm center Jarred Shaw, college: Utah State, agency: Players Group. Shaw played last summer at Mauricio Baez in TBS league in Dominican Republic, but left the team in May. In three TBS games he recorded 7.0ppg and 5.7rpg. LNB will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. He also played for Soles in Mexican LBE where in 13 games he averaged 14.1ppg and 6.4rpg.
In 2015 (a year after he left the college) he was drafted by Santa Cruz Warriors (D-League) in first round (18th overall).
He attended Utah State until 2014 and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
Shaw has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014.
He is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to eight different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Shaw has played previously professionally in Argentina (Hispano Americano de Rio Gallegos), Japan (Fukushima), Turkey (Ankara D.S.I.), Uruguay (Trouville and Goes), Venezuela (Panteras), Mexico (Dorados) and Thailand (Hitech).
Among many awards he played in the final of Dominican Republic TBS League in 2019. He was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Uruguay LUB Honorable Mention in 2019.
Shaw's game is described as: A skilled five man with excellent size and very good potential.
